It's been a very busy weekend with our CityU interns coming to help us edit a short video all day Friday - to apply for the big CGI-Google Giveaway, then on Saturday two fruitful meetings with mega-watt consultants, who have come our way, sadly because of this financial crisis and the cutbacks at major firms... But we are not ones to be ungrateful for the treasures that come our way ~ thanks Winnie and Lauren!
Nor are we ones to not take the time to have a four-hour massage, pamper ourselves, fall asleep at 8pm, in lieu of a proper holiday, so that we could be back in top form on Sunday to cover the World Wildlife Federation's 4pm Press Conference to announce "EARTH HOUR", the pledge by enlightened members of the Hong Kong government and as well as leaders of the private sector in turning off the lights for one hour on 28th March 2009, 8:30PM to 9:30PM - *TURN OFF THE LIGHTS FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE*
And special thanks go out to TeganS-19 for taking time out of her Sunday to attend the WWF Press Conference atop the magnificent Sino Land building - The Central - in Wanchai. TeganS-19's blog about it will be published later this week...
This afternoon we set our course for a major intake of interns over the Christmas holidays and I can truly say that it is a relief to be over this hurdle! But that's the planning, now it's onto execution... But, funnily enough, by 6pm today, I learned something new - literally. I finally saw how in taking time off last week was the best thing I could have done, even when at the time, it felt like it was the worst thing I could do with so much looming over us...
It goes to show that it's important to stop and listen to silence once in a while - if only to find our center again - then, when we least expect it - when the timing is right, and the stars align, we will be ready to finally see the light. It's all a matter of using time the right way.
