SIGN UP for "THE MAKING OF" a YAK CHEESE COOKBOOK - our way to celebrate 2009, Year of the Ox

TO celebrate the Chinese New Year of the Ox ... we're going all out for YAKS!

What do YOU think? ... is this more OX or GOAT? (Check out the 'official' answer at the bottom, in our GO DEEP section below.)

iCUBED.us will be working with Ventures in Development and MeiXiang Cheese the makers of socially-balanced YAK CHEESE in Shangri-La, Yunnan Province in Western China...

1. We will be looking for 25 Teams of students aged 13-to-21 studying and living in Hong Kong, China or other parts of Asia.

2. Each team of students will need to WORK WITH A CHEF TO CREATE A RECIPE USING YAK CHEESE (which is very much like Italian parmasean) sharing in the process a chef uses to arrive at a new recipe.

3. There is a HK$200 fee for joining, the fee is non-refundable. This will pay for the distribution of the cheese to each chef with any extra money from the fee, going to MeiXiang (a registered social enterprise) to off-set admin costs. The proceeds from sale of the cookbooks - not reserved for sponsors - will be given to a charity for children -or- for poverty alleviation.

PROPOSED TIMELINE:
- April 15th 2009 ... 25 or more teams of students signed up and paired with Chefs in their cities. Students are to document their CHEFS' progress with photos, drawing, words, recordings, of this "new recipes journey".

- by July 30th 2009 ... Recipes completed and all materials from the 'documenting of the process and journey' are collected and submitted back to iCUBED.us to be prepared for printers.

- by September 2009, the printed Yak Cheese Cookbooks ready to be sold with pre-ordered books going to cheese shops like NATURO in Hong Kong http://www.naturoplus.com.hk, to students to be sold at Christmas, and for our sponsors...

**REGISTER TODAY for this exciting new project, by emailing us at ORANGES@iCUBED.us - saying "Send me the info on how to register my team for the production of THE 2009 YAK CHEESE COOKBOOK"

-- please check back again for more details - this is breaking news... and there is much more to be revealed

For now... Wishing all and sundry, A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR OF THE OX ...

from, The iCUBED.us Team
