Soon, the dreams you had as a little kid of going into space will come true.
Billionaire Richard Branson started off by founding Virgin Music Records. The Virgin group then expanded into air travel, mobile, internet…After presenting Virgin Atlantic Airways in 1984, Richard Branson now poised to launch Virgin Galactic, the first commercial spacecraft.
You don’t need to be an astronaut to go into space anymore. With around 3 days of training, anyone can now go on this exciting journey into space. The goal of Virgin Galactic is to give its passengers a stimulating and safe flight. This is why a test flight will be scheduled before any commercial operation may begin. The test flights are to begin in the second half of 2007, and commercial flights will commence in 2009.
It is said that the passengers of the test flight will include Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Sigourney Weaver, Moby, Robin Williams and William Shatner.
The base site where the space craft is located is in Mojave, California. It will then move its headquarters to New Mexico, where the world’s first commercial spaceport, “Spaceport America,” is built. Soon, other bases will be built to facilitate the access to the space shuttle to the people all around the world.
Get ready for a ride you’ll never forget, and prepare yourself to see the world from a totally different view…literally.
