By Nomadic Chris, 1 May 2009
It’s never too hot to have a bobsled team!
At the 1988 Calgary Olympics, the world was met with the most fascinating sight, the Jamaican bobsled team! After the novelty wore off, they gained respect for their efforts and after crashing on one run, they carried their sled to the end to great applause and cheers!
Steve Savidan - From Bin man to French National Soccer Team
Once upon a time, Steve Savidan was playing amateur and semi professional football. To make more money, he worked as a bin man. In the 2002-2003 season, as a striker, he did not score once. He kept going and ended up playing for Caen. In 2008, he reached the pinnacle of his long journey by playing in a full international match for France against Uruguay.
Michael Chang - David against Goliath
In 1989, a 17 year old Michael Chang defeated Stefan Edberg in the French Open final. Days earlier he defeated Ivan Lendl in one of the greatest upsets of all time.
