The Fast and the Furious! The Hong Kong HKFC IP Global Soccer Sevens 2009!

Want end to end action in a condensed period of time?

Then look no further than the faster and more exciting game of 7 aside soccer! With any team sport in the world, if you take a few players away, the game literally opens up with all the extra space. This ensures more action and for football, more goals!

Globally, Hong Kong is known for the rugby sevens but now the Hong Kong HKFC IP Global Soccer seven's tournament is gaining in popularity and quality of teams year by year! Since its inception, big teams such as Aston Villa, Glasgow Celtic and Glasgow Rangers have regularly sent teams to battle it out in the confines of the Hong Kong football club.

This year, the tournament will be played out over the weekend of May 29th to 31st 2009. More on the tournament can be found below:

Venue: Hong Kong Football Club, 3 Sports Road, Happy Valley, Hong Kong

The tournament is split into two.

The main competition and the Masters competition; teams include:
Main Competition (Confirmed Teams): Aston Villa F.C (UK), Chengdu Blades, Kitchee Invitational team, Sheffield FC, Yau Yee Select, Glasgow Celtic (UK), West Ham United (UK), Glasgow Rangers FC (UK) and Singapore Cricket Club (SING)

Masters Competition (Confirmed Teams): GAC Blades, Golden Rainbow, Happy Valley Vets, KFC Toyko, KCC, Sheffield FC vets, Slavic All Stars, Southampton Vets (UK), PFA All Stars, Bexton FC (UK), Hood all stars, Singapore Cricket Club, Team Bondi (Aus) and Yau Yee Select veterans.
This is the type of action you can expect!

Expect world class football, thrills and spills and of course hundreds of goals!
