Will 2010 be the start of a new dawn for you?

Can you achieve an amazing transformation in life like singer Susan Boyle?

THE NOUGHTIES AND "GOOD RIDDANCE DAY!"

The decade known as the "Noughties" is finally over and the arrival of 2010 signals endless new opportunities, dreams and hopes for all. With the noughties endless financial scandals, on-going wars and overall sense of ‘Careful optimism’, some will not be too sad to see them go. Do you have any regrets from the past year or even decade? If so, you should do what the participants of the 3rd annual “Good Riddance Day” did, shred their regrets forever!

In New York, on December 29th , the 3rd unofficial "Good Riddance Day" took place. Here, people literally wrote down their regrets on a piece of paper and shred their misfortune in a giant shredder. Regrets ranged from everything from health, failed relationships, bad dates, finances to work. What are your regrets? Have you dealt with them in order to move onto a brighter and better future?

SUSAN BOYLE – A LIFE TRANSFORMED!

One great thing about the future, is that it is always a mystery! In 2010, what will you experience and who will you meet? Life constantly evolves and lives can be completely transformed for the better (Or for the worse. Hello Tiger Woods!)

A couple of years ago, Susan Boyle was just a normal, average looking lady living in a small Scottish town. Apparently, she liked to sing occasionally. Like millions of others who dared to dream big, she applied for the hit show “Britain’s Got Talent” and the rest is history. Susan Boyle is now a global name and her debut album ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ is the fastest selling Female debut album ever! She has spent the past FIVE weeks at the TOP of the United States Billboard album charts. From Australia to Malaysia to Brazil, she is becoming a household name. Why is she so popular? Her story is inspirational and in turn, this provides one of the most powerful human emotions, hope! Hope for a better life and the belief that a person, through hard work and determination can transform themselves …no matter what their circumstances!

2009 may have seen many other notable newsmakers but Susan Boyle is definitely one who has definitely impacted other people’s lives for the better. ….

RESOLUTIONS!

Out with the old and in with the new? This time, make sure you keep your resolutions!!

A). Set Achievable Targets!

Whatever your resolution, take baby steps as you attempt to achieve them. Want to lose 10KG, well it won’t happen overnight! It may even take up to a year. Be realistic and don’t set your expectations too high otherwise you may just give up within a few months. In fact, maybe just set one or two achievable targets! Persist to the end otherwise you are just kidding yourself!

B). Get a Resolutions Buddy!

Yes, somewhere out there is someone who has set resolutions which are exactly the same as yours! Want to get fit and join a gym? Then get a friend to join you! You can literally ‘spot’ and keep tabs on each other so when one person flags then the other can motivate. Keep updating your resolutions buddy and improve together!

C). Know yourself Better!

No one is perfect but each person can definitely analyse and empower themselves to improve! Spend some time reflecting over 2009 and which areas of your life need to be improved. Talk to close family and friends and ask them how you can improve all aspects of your life and character. Find yourself lacking in a certain area? Then you can even take courses to overcome these minor faults! Be proactive! Change is up to you and no one else!

As Susan Boyle has shown, you never know what chances life will give you…..opportunity may just come knocking when you least expect it!

2010. New Beginnings and more importantly, a greater sense of hope. Happy New year!!!!

Dream Big!
