NO WINNERS for the ETHICS WRITING CONTEST in May

1June2007

Apologies to our 5 valiant contenders for last month’s ETHICS & THE WAR IN IRAQ writing contest.

We wanted to make it a tough one, and it was. To the Valiant-5, we bestow well deserved MEDALS OF HONOR…

We also feel a bit foolish for holding the contest at such an inopportune moment in the student’s year, and thus feel even more proud of the five diligent students who managed to send in their pieces. Two were excellent pieces of research into the history leading up to the Iraq War, the others were wonderfully creative in their definition of ETHICS.

But in the end, we feel it was the LACK OF TIME which prevented students to be able to manage to 1. research, 2. digest and integrate ideas, and 3. to write the well thought thru, analytical piece.

Very special thanks to our Valiant-5, we very much hope to see submissions from you in the future!
