Photo contest – Dads with Kids 2008
"it isn’t just women’s work – HELP US BREAK GENDER STEREOTYPES FROM THE OLDEN DAYS"
For centuries we have been seeing images of “moms with kids”, whether “Mary with baby Jesus” or “Isis with Horus” or any of the scenes of tranquil motherhood. Now it seems, Dads are taking on the joys of parenting. Everywhere you look, especially on weekends, fathers are out in full force spending quality time with their children. Help us document this by submitting photos of fathers spending time with children, everywhere in the world. IF our professional panel of judges selects your photos for one-of-three awards, you'll have contributed to helping our readers "see" the positive changes in traditional gender roles. After all, if women can be bosses, men can equally be nurturing ~
AWARDS for this contest are as follows:
1. Editor’s Choice Award: Nokia 5300 Xpress Music Player phone
2. Our three WINNERS will each have a juniper tree planted in the "legendary" land of Shangri-la on the Tibetan Plateau in Western China - dedicated to the person of your choice, and/or each will have an iPOD Nano
3. The three WINNING photos will be published on iCUBED.us on 13 November 2008 (an Award Certificate will be presented)

RULES:
*You must be aged 13 to 21 to enter this contest and entering this contest means you give iCubed.us the right to publish/print your credited photos as needed.
*You may submit up to 3 original photos taken by yourself (photos will be judged on composition)
*Entry submissions DEADLINE: 30 September 2008

Winner will be informed by email/text message on 15 Oct 2008
