EDUCATION for SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT MURAL CONTEST
UNESCO wants to know what students across the Asia-Pacific region think about sustainable development. This contest is about creativity, expression, awareness, and having fun. Explore the concept of sustainable development with your friends and you may begin to look differently at our world. The competition is open to all youth.
Contest Rules and Regulations
Find free "wall" space and create your masterpiece. Use your classroom wall, art room, floor, community space, or the side of a building. Make them as big as you want. Paint, carve, mould your way to victory.
Murals MUST have the words “Education for Sustainable Development” in them. Be creative.
There are three themes for the competition:
Sustainable Urbanization,
Action for Climate Change,
Preservation of Indigenous and Traditional Knowledge
Prizes
Grand prize: Canon HV20 Mini DV/HDV Camcorder will be awarded to the mural that best captures its chosen theme.
Two runners-up each win a Canon PowerShot A540 digital camera.
ALL winners also get a UNESCO CERTIFICATE
Judging
The deadline for the competition is 5th August 2008.
The winners will be announced on 25th August 2008.
