"What your choice of GAMES, COMICS or HOBBIES says about you"
by !Baha, November 2011
How do you like to spend your free time?
There are 24 hours a day, that's what each person gets to spend in a day, no matter rich or poor, beautiful or beauty-challenged, brilliant or less so ... This should make the Equality-Pushers blissful, after all, it is one way we are all equal. BUT, what we do with those hours could and does bring about very different results.

| MINECRAFT GAME review by DominicM-15 |
by DominicM-15, 6 April 2011
The closest thing I can describe this game to would be Lego on a computer.
“I realized that a game that simple yet that dynamic had a lot of potential to turn into a really great game, and kept coming up with things I wanted to change and stuff I wanted to add.” -Markus Alexej Persson (Creator of the game)

| Historical Hero: Enduring in Difficult Times, the Invention of Scrabble – An inspirational story |
by Nomadic Chris, 14 April 2010
Alfred Mosher Butts (1899 to 1993) is the man behind Scrabble and the story behind the development of the game is inspiring in itself. In 1930s’, the world was in the midst of the Great Depression and Butts was laid off from his job. With time on his hands and a creative mind, he decided to develop an easy to play and family friendly game based on his two key passions; numbers and words.

| "FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH" DEALS: Are These Contests for Real?! |

by !Baha, 13 November 2009
In Chinese numerology the numbers with "four" are considered unlucky because four sounds like the word for "death". But in the West, the unlucky number is "thirteen" (I believe it's somehow related to witchcraft) but here's a strange little collection of little known facts revolving around "thirteen":

CAVE DRAWINGS are proof that it's in our nature to fill a blank canvas

| LEAVING SOMETHING TO THE IMAGINATION: Is Stamp Collecting a Hobby Worth Preserving ? |
by !Baha, 8 September 2009
Has anyone NOT seen a postage stamp?
Back in the days before text messaging, email and fax, people sent letters using postage stamps, and children collected those stamps and kept them in purpose-made booklets. This was exciting because it was a way to experience far away places and marvel at the images different countries put on the stamps. Often there would be interesting shapes, animals, flora and fauna introduced on postage stamps.

by ChrisW-15, 24 March 2009
With the launch of Alan Moore's Watchmen, here's a look at one of his earlier works: V for Vendetta.
The graphic novel, and not the film (which I thought was pretty good) that Moore disassociated himself with, refusing his name on the credits.
Set in an alternate universe where much of the world has been destroyed by a nuclear war, the comic book spans over 5 years and 10 issues.

by TeganS-18, 15 August 2008
Making the headlines during the last week of June was the story of a band of teenage guys, arrested and charged for a felony robbery that appeared to emulate the fictional crimes of Niko Bellic, the protagonist of the popular game - "Grand Theft Auto IV: Liberty City".
The aim of the game series is to steal cars, beat up other characters and commit a variety of crimes.

by TeddyK-18, 30 May 2008
Grand Theft Auto IV's release earlier this month was one of the biggest launches in a long time. Not only were there a bunch of legal concerns surrounding it - like whether it could inspire kids to commit crimes - but there were also technical concerns about whether it could fit onto a DVD; mostly, though, people wondered whether it would live up to the hype of being the first truly next-gen game.

by TeddyK, 15 April 2008
It seems like the video game industry today depends on taking the fewest number of risks that companies can in order to try new things. No one wants to risk a big expensive failure... after all, why change what's not broken and what sells?

| TEDDYk-17 and outrageous tales of SONY PS3 |
by TEDDYk-17, 21 December 2007
Nowadays it seems everybody is hating on Sony, and coincidentally, a lot people have been posting ridiculous tales of their experience with Sony customer support. One person claimed that he sent a PS3 to Sony to be fixed, but they refused because it was too dusty. Another person claimed that Sony wouldn't fix his PS3 because he voided his warranty by plugging it into a power surge protector. During summer, a website posted a story about Sony holding a God of War promotional party where naked women and slaughtered animals were used as decor. There are probably other incidents that I don't remember.

by TEDDYk-17, 14 November 2007
With the ongoing trend of increased production costs of video game hardware and software, I’ve been wondering if there will be a point at which games will be so expensive to make that the producers will not be able to break any more technical barriers. They would be forced to continue making only PS4 quality games because the money generated by sales would not be enough to cover production costs.
